Turning Lathe Stratos XL

The new STRATOS XL combines high weight, stability and strength with precision and ease of use. The goal was the development of an extremely solid, stable and quiet machine which, due to its versatility, offers countless possibilities for beginners as well as advanced and professional turntables.
The machine is ideally suited for the turning of large, heavy workpieces, such as for writing tools, miniature and long wood turning.

Some highlights of the STRATOS XL:

• High weight and running stability thanks to heavy cast construction (bench bed, headstock, tailstock, substructure and hand support base made of gray cast iron)
• Power in all "living conditions" thanks to a powerful 3 hp motor and frequency converter
• Exactly aligned tips (including double cone for fast, time-saving alignment)
• Large speed ranges on all 3 spindle stages, whereby the main part of the work can be done on the middle stage (without re-routing the belt)
• 7 (!) Mounting points for the optionally available combined external rotation device / bed extension 500 mm;
• Mounting holes on the left or right of the bench bed
• Front on the bench bed (for ergonomic work and even more riser or even more peak height)
• On each side and side of the castings
• Tailstock path 150 mm (with pinolens scale and electronic gauge additionally!)
• Large tip height of 280 mm standard (when mounting the bed extension and the hand support in the center (on the face) on the bench bed 50 mm top height (330 mm)
• Thanks to the rotating and displaceable headstock, rotation diameters of up to 1,000 mm are possible

Unique in this machine class:
Optionally, a bed extension of 500 mm is available, which can also be used as an external rotation device. 7 (!) Recording points guarantee extreme versatility and adaptation possibilities depending on the space in the workshop.

The support foot and the extension for the hand rest guarantee optimum stability, even when machining large workpiece diameters.
